Should black and brown people be denied access to lotteries for their own good?

According to a new CNN article: ...despite the extreme low chance of winning, state lotteries still aggressively market the lottery and sell tickets to low-income communities... and: "These communities are disproportionately made up of Black and brown people. Critics say the consequence is that marginalized people will be driven into deeper debt by a system that is transferring wealth out of their communities," CNN’s Nicquel Terry Ellis and Justin Gamble wrote.

Similar to the hoax about black & brown people being too unsophisticated to obtain IDs for voting, they are apparently incapable of budgeting for lottery tickets as well.

Good thing Woke "big brothers" are willing to make these decisions for them.

What? So bizarre. Not everything is “systemic racism” (most things aren’t). My husband buys that crap, I think it’s a waste. He is white. It’s funding the post secondary educational system in my state so whatever.

I almost choked on my gum when I read this. Look at who is on the same level as me...

CNN also pointed to a report from 1999, which found that Black Americans, high-school dropouts, and low-income people played the lottery on a more frequent basis.

This is like Biden telling black HBCU students that they are “just as smart” as regular college students.

Black people should fear white liberals trying to protect them.

Can they just mind their own business and let people have their own fun?

Also, what is “aggressive” here? They have lotto everywhere. Gas stations, grocery stores, convenience stores, the list goes on. The food desert in the bad area of town has more convenience stores but the suburban areas have more grocery stores. These things are advertised in many places, radio, TV. I fail to see how one is being aggressively targeted by any of it.

I guess that Planned Parenthood should be next for cancellation.

That organization specifically sets up their abortion clinics in poor, minority neighborhoods. I guess they should be accused of minority genocide?

Well, both the daily three-number lottery games and the daily four-number lottery games, have payouts relative to probability that correlate to a take-out, or directly to a house edge, of 50% or more.

Compare to horse racing tracks which have exacta wagering take-outs of about 20% or trifecta wagering take-outs of about 25%. Compare to a casino slot machine that has a house edge of about 10%
.

This already happened.

Apparently, minority Americans can't even make child-bearing decisions without approval from the Woke Intelligentsia.
