For the second day in a row, several historically Black colleges and universities received bomb threats Tuesday, resulting in shelters-in-place and canceled classes as authorities swept campuses looking for devices. No explosions have been reported.
My husband, a graduate of one of those colleges, said the same thing. Sadly, I would not be surprised at all if you are both correct. HBCUs tend to be totally off the typical white nationalist’s radar, as it is not something that generally impacts nonblack’s lives in any manner.

It's a hoax until it's demonstrated that it isn't.
If we've learned ANYTHING about events such as this over the last several years, it's that they're EXCEEDINGLY rare. The hoaxes, however, are quite common.
every single cell phone call is most probably monitored and stored temporarily, so i depends how big a deal wants to be made of possibly prank calls
Calling in a bomb threat is a far cry than calling to ask if you have Prince Albert in a can. Once the identity known, the FBI should go public with the name of the culprit and fully charge them for the crime.
And there is no information other than "schools received threats."
Every media outlet is running the same script.
Has fake written all over it.
