What does one's race have to do whether one will vote Democrat or Republicans? Kind of a tell all isn't it?

Florida IS the next best thing, for a lot of reasons, for a lot of people. But it doesn't have everything, and it's not for everyone. No one is trying to persuade you to move to Florida. There is no shame in not wanting to live there. But why can't you accept the clear and obvious fact that a lot of people find it to be an appealing place to live?

The partisanship that goes along with this is very bothersome to me. I live in a red state myself. I moved to where I currently live for career reasons. Politics had nothing to do with it. In fact, there's alot of corruption where I live, at the state level.

I also think about this. There are plenty of conservative states in America. Florida is the one that gets the most attention thus far.

I'm not going to get used to it. I don't play that partisan crap. I live in a conservative state and it has some of the highest levels of corruption in America. It's also among the most murderous states in America.

Florida is fabulous FOR YOU. This whole "stick it to everyone who isn't conservative " isn't doing any good.

Then you’ll continue to complain about it, lol

It’s fabulous for 100’s of thousands of folks that have already moved here and the 900/day that keep coming.

Plenty of people complaining about people like me. So, whatever.

I prefer to be in an environment where people don't feel the need to flaunt their politics. I don't want to deal with this "kiss me I'm woke" or "I'm with MAGA" being flaunted. I don't want to see any Confederate flags.

All I'm seeing is a bunch of "let's flaunt how partisan we are".

Another fast growing states in America is Idaho. I'm not hearing Idaho mentioned nearly as much. In fact, Florida is literally the only state being mentioned in specific as "let's move here, it's conservative". Never-mind there are other conservative states like Utah, Idaho, Arkansas (especially Northwest Arkansas), Oklahoma, Texas. What makes Florida so much more special?

Is this because the massive baby boomer retiree cohort is moving there en masse?

Or is it because Caribbean Latinos (def Cubans, less so Puerto Ricans) are more likely to vote Republican than in the past?
No. It's because DeSantis did such a great job as governor.

That’s great to hear. Florida certainly isn’t for you and it’s great that you have no interest in coming here.

Weather, beaches, resorts, boating, fishing, motorcycle riding, parasailing, etc…, most everyday of the year. Economy is great. Folks aren’t crying about masks, mandates, folks aren’t living in fear and crying to shut it down, etc… No incessant whining is fabulous. Such a happy and refreshing state and so much different from where our main home is in PA with a clown Governor, soft on crime folks and political figures that defend and enable criminals, get their feelings hurt at the drop of a hat, etc… It’s a pleasure, and greatly due to a fabulous Governor, hence folks have come here in droves.
