Mebbe it was as 100% hidden as it could be in the past, but with forced acceptance, out of the woodwork it comes. You shoulda been around when the 'internet' was nascent and online subscription services started up. Compu serve and P* and AOL all had 'rooms' dedicated to pedos, who were (by admission) also homosexual and for some reason thot that operating in this new online environment would be safe and tolerated. It wasnt, but you cannot be a part of 'this' (the online digital world) and ignore the stats and trends.
No way to sugar coat this but you are out of touch. This is a term promoted heavily in academic literature and there are many articles in recent years that have popped up subtly trying to introduce the term into public discussion
Never heard the term before, and apparently neither did the three people who repped me for the post, but thanks for the explanation--even though you couldn't resist tossing in a bit of gratuitous sarcasm. Not really a smart thing to do when responding to me. My life at this time is not such that I am as obsessed with this sort of thing as sone of you seem to be.

I really didn't see the sarcasm you accuse the poster about. As far as a "smart thing to do".... is any comment that disagrees with a moderator not allowed? Kind of sounds like a threat to me.
You can say that but when little kids are encouraged to attend drag shows and read graphic gay-sex books that kind of blows your argument out of the water, no?
If you want to stand for gay rights then you should be eager to fight against the grooming of children otherwise you are permanently going to link LGB people to pedophiles (which is what many people already assume is the "P" in the Plus sign of lgbtq+)
Consenting adults can be gay all they want amongst each other but targeting kids is a whole other thing
It definitely is a whole other thing. Are the gay people you know personally in favor of targeting children? Because no gay people I know are.
You don't have to respond to ME, but just think about it. If your answer is yes, perhaps re-evaluate the people with whom you choose to surround yourself.

No, of course a comment that disagrees with a moderator is allowed. I am not a P&OC moderator, as a glance at the mod list would tell you (and you probably already know who the mods are if you post here regularly). I am posting as a member, and if any member expects no disagreement, this is not the place to post.
But a moderator IS going to notice violations maybe more quickly than regular posters, so it would be especially good sense not to employ them when responding to one, no?

He's conflating two completely different things and being deliberately vague, ("Drag Queens existing around young children" and "teens having access to gay reading materials") to make it sound worse ("young children having gay porn").
Obviously Drag Queens should burnish their reputation by pushing for more straight porn in schools, that will apparently appease conservatives!

I went to middle school in the LGBTQ neighborhood in my city many years ago. It was directly on the neighborhood's main drag. We used to see ***** people, drag queens, and trans people every single day walking up and down the streets. I don't know a single person from that middle school, to this day that did a sex change or caught a case for being pervy. They didn't bother us and we didn't bother them. I certainly didn't say, "gee I want to be like them!" because it wasn't even on my radar. Nobody cared.
Folks really act like sexuality is something that's not inherent to a person. If a person is attracted to men, or women, or kids, or trans people, or whatever, that's inherent to them. Could you get aroused to do the dirty with a trans person or a child? No, because that's not who you're attracted to. Gay and trans people can't help who they're attracted to either. As far as kids go, we decided relatively recently in human history that it's not ok to romantically pursue them after thousands of years of most cultures talking wives at a very young age. We are not going backwards there - people of all stripes and political parties understand why that is and no one is trying to change that.
This is really the stuff y'all wake up and worry about? Now I see how conspiracy theories like pizzagate got legs.
