Yep, and not a single lib posting on this thread EVER complained about Warren or Blumenthal lying about their resumes to get elected.

The false equivalency and whataboutism is fairly astounding, Blumental and Warren is not even remotely comparable to Santos. Why is it so difficult for some republicans to just admit this is wrong and he shouldn't take office. The Silence by Kevin McCarthy is fairly telling, he needs Santos, who cares if he lied.
Marjorie Taylor Greene now defending Santos, saying he should be given a chance.
Between this and the Freedom Caucus Crazies McCarthy must be asking himself why he wants to be speaker.

There is, but it creates both a legal fight and an ethical one and a national one if we are honest.
The last time a House or Senate seat was contested was 2020, and Dems allowed a Republican to be seated even though they got less votes because they know seating the Democrat(Rita Hart) would start a political fire storm.
If McCarthy doesnt seat Santos, and allows Hochul to then hold a special election, then republicans could then pull the Kari Lake card any time they believe a Dem to have lied or anything along those lines.
