Good thing we've spent trillions of dollars de-carbonizing.
https://www.voanews.com/a/carbon-dio...e%20of%20power. Extreme weather events intensified last year's carbon dioxide emissions: Droughts reduced the amount of water available for hydropower, which increased the need to burn fossil fuels. And heat waves drove up demand for electricity.
Carbon dioxide emissions from coal grew 1.6% last year. Many communities, primarily in Asia, switched from natural gas to coal to avoid high natural gas prices that were worsened by Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the IEA said.
- China approved the construction of another 106 gigawatts of coal-fired power capacity last year, four times higher than a year earlier and the highest since 2015

OK, I gotta ask: When was it decided that "emitting CO2" was a BAD thing? And that we should judge people's "badness" by somehow measuring how much CO2 they emit? We do it when we breathe, don't we?
Anybody got a link to the report that proved "emitting CO2" was a bad thing?
It looked to me like this conclusion simply appeared from whole cloth, with no effort to explain WHY it was bad, what methods were employed to determine its degree of "badness", what the acceptable limits were, and what would happen to us if we reduced or stopped emitting CO2. Such information would go a long way toward explaining why so much of our economy and life style have been abruptly altered and changed toward "emit less CO2" in the last decade or so.

Yep. Also keep in mind that Europe began to shutter their nuclear power plants, relied on natural gas from Russia (Trump tried to warn them - LOL), so when there was a natural gas disruption (like NS pipelines being sabotaged in response to a war) people in Europe started to import wood from South America (a renewable resource) and re-fired their coal power plants for heat.

"Experts said..." LOL
I actually think a warmer world, whether it's from Co2 or the sun cycles, is a good thing for the planet and certainly our species. Nobody likes to admit this fact, but the byproducts of burning coal are cooling agents in the atmosphere.
Maybe if we tax and spend a Quadrillion Dollars, the growth of Co2 emissions will finally flatten out? LOL
