The committee members are not amused.

Quote:
House Homeland Security Committee ranking Democrat Bennie Thompson (Miss.) on Monday blasted Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) for handing over tens of thousands of hours of riot footage from Jan. 6, 2021, to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

“It’s hard to overstate the potential security risks if this material were to be used irresponsibly,” Thompson said in a statement.

Well this is kinda funny overall.

Basically, this will be good ratings for Tucker as he will glean whatever red meat he can get for his base.

However, continuing to dredge this topic up is probably an overall negative for the party.

*shrug*

Interesting.

The Jan 6th committee went through 14,000 hours of footage - but Tucker Carlson's staff will have access to 41,000.

well 6 cameras recording 1 hour of the same thing is 6. I can assure you no jan 6th committee saw one moment of footage of any of the FBI insiders yelling into microphones to attack and storm. I predict these will be the FIRST think tucker shows.

The left is mostly outraged cuz there is gonna be scant ability to wiggle from under this, and of course their followers here, will do as they are told.

I don't think there's audio though - right? Serious question.

Is CNN or MSNBC petitioning to have the same access? Or do they have the same lack of curiosity that they had about Hunter Biden's laptop?

Honestly, post it all on a public website.

Time and again, the GOP has said they are persecuted by the media. Yet the Speaker of the House has decided the only person that is allowed to receive the tapes is Tucker Carlson. If Democrats had given all findings exclusively to Rachel Maddow, the GOP would have lost their minds.

No, it's not a typo.

Unless the entire media is dyslexic.

Whatever comes out of this couldn't possibly be more biased than what Nacy Pelosi and the chronic liar Adam Schiff would have you believe.

If they really wanted an unbiased investigation, they wouldn't have kicked two Republicans off of their witch hunt committee.
