DeSantis is very generous with taxpayer money, he just can't give it up and cut the taxpayer losses.

Quote:
The Editorial Board of the Orlando Sentinel has published a scathing takedown of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for what it described as his “foolish, petty, and ultimately selfish political vendetta” against Disney.

Taxpayers stuck paying over $1290/hour in legal fees to investigate Ron DeSantis’s Disney blunder.

Disney outmaneuvered DeSantis, so now expensive lawyers are being hired to figure out what happened.
“Whenever you happen to be in Florida,” the board wrote, “focus on your actual job: Running a massive state government where people are dying every day of drug overdoses and mass shootings that you barely acknowledge. Where school boards across the state are grimly awaiting the final price tag of the economically reckless voucher bill you just signed. Where insurance rates are skyrocketing and damage claims from back-to-back hurricanes are being summarily denied. Where, every day, we’re discovering more cracks your machinations have inflicted on the fundamental integrity of Florida’s own government.”

Their feelings are still hurt after endorsing Crist other Dem candidates and it not panning out. Always love how Dems cry about how money is spent while promoting free stuff, hUUUge amounts of taxpayers money going out of the country, 7+ year goosechase of wasted time and taxpayers money, etc…

Disney needs Florida and Florida needs Disney, the two of them should be BFF's instead of worst enemies. This can only happen when emotionally insecure adults are involved. It takes a thick skin to be POTUS, it's time for DeSantis to swallow his pride and forget about his culture war obsession with Disney.

Agreed. Problem is he seems unlikely to admit he’s wrong for doing this.

You mean that the same Editorial board that supported Crist during the last election, in a city that is one of the only fairly liberal areas of the State, and Disney is their largest employer of the county wrote an editorial speaking out against DeSantis.

His actual job is working for the people of Florida. What they really want is not for him to focus on his "actual job", but to stop focusing on them. If Disney would focus on its actual job..which the last time I saw wasn't as an advocacy company for a certain community they decided to make their key issue. Where they decided to perpetuate even basic lies about the Governor's actions. Or are they finally ready to admit that DeSantis never signed a bill called "Don't Say, Gay"?

In the end, Disney is not going to leave Florida...they can't. DeSantis knows it, and Disney knows it. Disney is going to bring in business to Florida to "show" DeSantis. Of course when they do that all of the taxes and fees generated by these visitors go right back to the State of Florida. So yea Disney is really showing him...

They are. This article was just an editorial by one person so it may not hold as much importance as some want to believe. And it was shown as a link to a blog site for the LBGQTRSTUV group. Overall, I think the majority of people living in Florida are pretty happy with how the state is running.

He's going after Disney because it's been a brand that has been hiding their pedophilia and drug trafficking for decades.

That's right. It's not his job is to "punish" any company that dares to speak against him. That was a complete misuse of his office and taxpayer dollars, not to mention an expression of his thin skin and opposition to free speech.
