It's a 3.5% drop, not a 3,500,000,000% drop. The "multiplier" may be billion since we're talking a huge company but it's just a 3.5% drop. That's how percentages work. The "multiplier" is in the numerator and denominator. Billion divided by billion is just 1. A 3.5% drop in stock price is not really anything to get worked up about. For a stock worth 12 Billion a 6 Billion drop, 50%, is notable. Again, going back to AB from 2016 to present you're looking at the 50% drop which is absolutely notable. The stuck has not performed well over a 10-year time horizon.
I no longer follow much in the way of any individual stocks anymore. But as the markets are currently down, and these sorts of escapades tend to exaggerate stock values in the short term, this stock could well be a good longer term buy right now. Assuming inflation and rates come down in the medium term.
For instance I eventually made some good money buying Motorola with the brain cancer scare back in the '90's.

That’s flat out false. It’s up from its low (63.38) on 4/12 to its 64.63 as of 4/14, but still below its high of 66.73 close on 3/31.

Year to date the stock is positive overall, but not for anybody who bought AB two weeks ago … they took a shot in their shorts.

There is this element among us that all they do is run around painting pigs lips, for some bizarre reason, no matter what the topic.

They’ll explain the virtues and value to society in having children sit on the laps of drag queens for story time, so if lipstick can be applied to that pig, no lips will escape the paint.

LOL..this guy is making bank. He's gotten the guys upset over Bud Light and now the women over Tampax.

This guy has become an overnight success by becoming a woman over the course of 1 year via social media.
He should go for it...everyone has their 5 minutes of fleeting fame.

This company or any company, for that matter, will hurt their bottom line if they continue to get involved in social matters. Manufacture your product, sell your product and stay out of the whacked out politics of today.

Did you hear about the $6B "loss" back in early March? Over the course of about a week, stock prices dropped about $3/share back then, too.

Oh, you didn't hear about that "loss"? Now, that's odd, isn't it?

It isn't a fallacy that we went from “just let us live our lives” to “sterilizing children is health care”
We can pretty certain whats next at this point

lol..$3 a share is nothing. But $5 billion in market value to the company..yes it matters.
