Bingo. It’s no concern of yours or anyone else for that matter. Those are her children!
In Europe going about nakid at home is no biggie. South of the border bathing in the river in your birthday suit is the norm in some areas. We have pushed the puritan mindset so hard that it’s created the opposite, a sex obsessed culture. You think banning, removing or separating for review is going to succeed? A group something 451 is having free book fairs of all the books removed. Just giving them away at the mall or park etc. it’s all going to backfire. Why? Because we are a free nation and people don’t like the micro- managing of their lives.
wow. now refusing to stock kiddie libraries with graphic porn featuring pedophilia and fellatio is 'pushing the puritan mindset'? and kiddies not having access to those books in a library is what created a 'sex obsessed culture'?

I haven't looked at the entire list but I generally agree that all humans take things too far, regardless of political ideology. It would not surprise me that my side takes things too far. Maybe if we could all realize that we could move towards a sane middle ground.
That would be nice. I agree we do this all the time as a country. We went from giving out opiods like candy, to denying them to 80 year olds after hip surgery (I work in nursing home rehab). Everything we do, is one wide pendulum swing to the other.
For a tiny few to threaten the distributor of a book,
For armed police to arrest the purveyor of a boook
For people to break into a printer ans smash the machinery
For mobs to enter private property and destroy copies,
To deny internet access to advocates of banned material
All have been used in the USA
A friend of mine, at 17, was arrested for selling a book in a New Orleans bookstore. DA Jim Garrison refused to prosecute.
What are the most censored books in America? Comic Books. no sex, no drugs, no cursing, no rock n' roll, no nudity. The words “terror” and “weird” were banned from comic book titles. Additionally, cops had to always be right and correct, while villains always had to lose.
Banning books. Something the Nazis were fond of doing.
Absolutely -and we were warned this would happen. I think kids are going to read what they want, regardless. It’s about political control. We will RULE over you! We morally superior and we will break you from spreading your filth to all children!! That’s how I see them.
Most kids not interested in these books unless they have questions about themselves. You will never stop a kid who is unsure from seeking the truths they need. From book, magazines, internet or another person. You are not controlling them ~ sorry, they will seek.
