Walls don't stop immigrants...and the wall was way too expensive...and large areas of that border you can't even truly build a wall.

This is a fact.

If our government gets tyrannical enough to "keep us in," we'll be able to address that situation internally via our guns.

Tell that to other countries who have border walls and is proven Historically. Is not going to stop some but is to prevent most .

I am guessing you are with the crews who live in no fences, no windows, no walls, no doors in your house and you just let intruders come in whenever they like. Must be nice!

https://www.reddit.com/r/news/commen...order_wall_in/

Where there are currently walls, the drug dealers just dig a tunnel or fly a plane or climb a ladder or take a boat. All it actually provides is a false sense of security. It is a 5 billion dollar boondoggle.

Yeah might as well live in street since your house doesn't protect you from intruders right?

Increased border security is a hard YES from me. But a wall is stupid. It's purely symbolic and mostly ineffectual.

However, I'm also aware that getting rid of all illegal immigrants will have side effects no one talks about until their lawn care costs 300.00 instead of 30.00 and a salad at a restaurant costs 5 times as much because now all the workers doing jobs we don't ant to do will be unionized.

Why are you assuming all illegal immigrants are working age young people who can take on those labor intensive jobs?

You can stop after the first line, "legally they can't" and no evidence exist that they do. Democrats are doing no such thing, 50 states would have to change there rules to vote and that will never happen or even start...

If you want minorities to vote Republican change the message, oh wait how many postings on this board have stated that the Black & Hispanic votes are leaning more and more Republican? Were they lying....

I think Trump admin called for 18 billion over ten years to build that wall. And the protests went up everywhere. Lets see for what we have spent on Ukraine we could have had what 20 border walls built, now that would not be easy to get thru.
