I wondered how this would work when DeSantis made it illegal for immigrants to work in Florida, including agriculture.

It's not good. They are trying to get people to tell them not to leave for other states.

Anti-"immigrant"? Um no, anti-illegal alien. Oh and by the way there are unlimited visas for legal workers to come here to work on farms so what's the problem?

"Illegal immigrants" do not include the migrant farm workers who are allowed to come here.

Stop reading twitter as if it's the gospel truth.

"I'm a farmer, and the farmers are mad as hell".

Why is it that so many people can't see the repercussions of their decisions and actions.

What did DeSantis THINK would happen?

How did DeSantis eliminate H-2A visas ? Which bill was that in ?
Farmers should not be hiring illegals.

Why do you say that ? Ag visas are still valid.

But that doesn't fit the agenda of the left and open borders does it ?

Fact remains - many are illegals. I posted on another thread why farmers n workers don’t try to go the legal route. It doesn’t work well at all. Limits -timing-money- and control of the pickers - as in they can’t go to another state to pick a harvest while attached to one farmer in Fl. It also pushes farmers to pay a much higher wage, but still hurts the farmer bottom line as he gets under bid. It’s messy. But nobody wants to fix it.

Maybe they will now, when produce starts to rot in the fields.
