They have recordings of Trump, and to back it up his own attorney's testified that those recordings of Trump saying "Why don't we just hide the documents?". GOP is going have a tough time defending Trump now after this unsealing.

The investigation against the President is still ongoing, former Vice President Pence has been cleared, Hillary is long out of office and the last administration spent 4 years trying to "lock her up" but no evidence to do it.

The former President willfully withheld returning the items when notified multiple times, quite a difference from the other two who notified the agencies and cooperated fully to ensure that everything was accounted for. His ongoing belief that he was entitled to the papers after leaving office or that he can just say omni dominie and they are declassified is also false.

Why are you so willing to give him a pass? If I handled classified materials in the same manner when I was in the Navy I would be in jail already, the rules apply to all....

The running commentary in the NY Times as they review the documents is pretty amazing/hilarious.

Trump Indicted
Special Counsel Unveils Case Against Trump
The special counsel, Jack Smith, released an indictment describing how the former president hoarded documents concerning nuclear programs and attack plans after leaving the White House.

And check out the pics in Trump's bathroom. It's insane.

'Wouldn't it be better if we just told FBI we don't have anything here?' What brazen Trump told aide about top secret state documents in 120 boxes - just one of the devastating details in bombshell indictment that could see him jailed

I can't help but notice that they mostly aren't. We have whataboutism, and we have drama on the line of "It's you they're coming for", and we have complaints of the DOJ being like, really unfair to even investigate, but even the most ardent supporters seem unable to actually come up with a defense of Trump's actions.

Misdirection and smokescreens, sure.

As the saying goes - if the facts are against you, argue the law. If the law is against you, argue the facts. If the law and the facts are against you, pound the table and yell like hell. There's a whole lot of table-pounding happening here.

Remember Sandy Berger? Remember Hillary’s email server hidden in her home? The issues are the same, the difference is political party. If national security was three focus then others would have received similar treatment. The only reason why former VP and presidents are coming forward with documents is because of what happened to Trump and their realization that they too are in violation of US laws and that is the only reason they came forward. Prior to the raid on Trump, these documents remained in homes, offices, and other locations for decades without any action by the US Justice Department. Trump was stupid for giving them something to finally “get him” on but it’s still entirely about a political witch hunt by the US Justice Department.

Regardless of how guilty Hillary was, the situation cost her the election. She may not have went to prison but she never saw the inside of the Oval Office. Trump on the other hand is the likely GOP nominee and the 'favorite' to win in 2024.

Not sure how many times it needs to be stated, I'll do it as long as I have to. Biden and Hillary never showed these docs to others and lied to and obstructed the feds when they tried for over a year to get them returned.

This is not difficult
