FBI HOOVERING UP DNA AT A PACE THAT RIVALS CHINA, HOLDS 21 MILLION SAMPLES AND COUNTING
China and the U.S. are collecting the same proportion of their populations’ DNA profiles — and the FBI wants to double its budget to get even more

Quote:
HE FBI HAS amassed 21.7 million DNA profiles — equivalent to about 7 percent of the U.S. population — according to Bureau data reviewed by The Intercept.

The FBI aims to nearly double its current $56.7 million budget for dealing with its DNA catalog with an additional $53.1 million, according to its budget request for fiscal year 2024. “The requested resources will allow the FBI to process the rapidly increasing number of DNA samples collected by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security,” the appeal for an increase says.

“When we’re talking about rapid expansion like this, it’s getting us ever closer to a universal DNA database,” Vera Eidelman, a staff attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union who specializes in genetic privacy, told The Intercept. “I think the civil liberties implications here are significant.”

Internal-spying has been continuously ramping-up ever since the OKC-bombing.

The spying-network that Fedgov has rivals anything China has......MUCH of
it focused on Americans.

if you ever plan to, or might commit a crime, it is just DUMB to GIVE your DNA, what most people do not know is that when you have blood given as part of a TEST, DNA samples are added into the database now as of late 2021. so even if you do NOT 23 and me...they still have it.

well I dont plan on doing and crimes or TIME.

But would todays leftists govt and the attending FBI, PLANT evidence due to ideological concerns?

you bet your bippy.

There has already been stories of law enforcement catching criminals by matching their DNA from crime scenes with that they obtained from sources provided by home test kits marketed towards tracking your ancestry. Anyone who has used those sites should not be surprised to learn that their DNA has been shared with the government.

Problem is a relative you see weekly or never heard of is voluntarily giving away the family dna to these ancestry or dna testing sites.

The feds will go buy your family's dna and take it from there. Too many don't understand or get the implications of having their dna out there. It's also ignorant of them to give away what should be private family information.

I often think "hacks" are just information being sold by the inside of whoever was supposedly "hacked".

Yes, we are passing on that. Also, my husband and myself signed up for VA HealthCare (we which don't actually use), but we got letters to go and get COVID vaccines and calls a few times - yeah, no! And, recently got letters telling us about this great program we could participate in, and part of that was giving our DNA in order for us to learn about what health issues we could face. Ah, no on that also.

It is like if they want it so bad, yeah, I'm not giving it up willingly. We practice homeopathic medicine, and are older, so it is going to be a challenge for them to get it from us.

People must learn what their rights are, or one day, we wake up and they are gone. Anymore, I dread hearing the news!

You didn't answer their question.

Is this a convicted felon database? The % is similar.

Similar to how they have a fingerprint database for felons.

my prints are in the database...so is every other fed with a sensitive clearance AND they are in there for my concealed permit from CT way back when.... so any similarities MUST be divergent.

if you are EVER in a govt place, and they offer you a soda, take the bottle/can WITH you... ;-)
