A hospital/medical center using masking protocols for everyone who comes into their facilities at a time of increased respiratory infections? How dare they! Or, whatever.
Don't go to that hospital (or any hospital) if you don't want to comply with their infection mitigation policies. It's voluntary to go there; it's also voluntary to not go there. Stay home or go elsewhere.
Hospitals have required such masking during respiratory illness season since long before covid. They also typically get down to restrictions on kids visiting later as RSV digs in.

This comment is unhinged. Staying home from the hospital is not an option if you need to go to the hospital. That's why the topic of ridiculous hospital rules garners broad discussion interest.

It's an absolutist position ("hospitals, public health, etc. are always right"), poorly disguised as a "live and let live" position. It's kind of a joke, really.

Makes you wonder the connections, as St B and Rutgers are all in on forced restrictions which defy science. At St B, doc and i drop the masks in the visit, we both know it is an over reaction and grossly ineffective. No more magazines in the waiting room.

Now 8 million illegals from all over the world being dispersed by the feds and living in close quarters in big cities. This is a disease time bomb ready to explode in time for the 2024 election. Will biden force these people to get a covid vaccine? Imagine the profit to BP!!!!! Maybe just order a few million doses and let them expire or ruined in improper storage. What hospitals? I've been to the hospital a lot in my life and was never required to wear a mask before covid. Was even treated for cancer. Are you rewriting history?
Two of my family members about 3 weeks ago got covid. They were given paxlovid.
There are cases in New York and New Jersey, Michigan, Maine and more are heading on to the list. The elderly should wear a mask if they are going into a crowd. Not a cloth mask, a medical mask an N 95 mask to be effective.
I never put this pandemic in any type of political stance. Use common sense.
No one should be forced to wear a "mask" anywhere, no matter their age.
