Democrats stayed out of it.

They could have voted to keep him as speaker, but why? He's untrustworthy.

Months ago, he negotiated an agreement with the Democrats to keep the government open, then went back on his word.

Pelosi was right. The majority party gets to pick the Speaker. The minority party needs to stay out of it. Nothing about the current situation changes that.

I suppose, though both Dems and Gaetz want McCarthy out, though for very different reasons, am I right?

Assuming the Republicans won't fund the military.

Pelosi's a botoxed-up vegetable who needs to lay in the bed she made of San Fran.

She got things done alright...we're $33T in debt...she did help build that.

What don't people get about $33T in debt = $750B/yr in interest?

The debt/interest is the biggest threat to America, & dumping McCarthy is the 1st step in turning that around...now, go after Mitch.

Conservatism Rising

Would the Republicans have helped the Democrats elect Nancy Pelosi? Why do you think the Democrats should have done anything to help the Republicans elect their leader? Especially someone as two-faced as McCarthy.

You've got millions of immigrants the Dems expect us to take care of and then Dems want to continue to want to send more money to Ukraine. Last I heard they needed a few Democrats to vote to get rid of him too - so much for unity in the Democratic party.
Face it. .the Democrats want to put us in bankruptcy and the rinos are in agreement

I haven't been following this mess lately. What exactly is the axe Gaetz has to grind here.
