Pelosi was right. The majority party gets to pick the Speaker. The minority party needs to stay out of it. Nothing about the current situation changes that.

no, it means the november shutdown will be real, hard and prolonged and affect military readiness and this exact moment is what the chinese have indicated they are waiting for to move against Taiwan. the american people are NOT prepared for this.

Would the Republicans have helped the Democrats elect Nancy Pelosi? Why do you think the Democrats should have done anything to help the Republicans elect their leader? Especially someone as two-faced as McCarthy.
There is no party unity when some just go with the flow of the Democrats. About time someone stepped up and said enough of this. These huge spending projects like Ukraine should not be lumped in with the Federal budget that is needed to keep our gov alive. You've got millions of immigrants the Dems expect us to take care of and then Dems want to continue to want to send more money to Ukraine. Last I heard they needed a few Democrats to vote to get rid of him too - so much for unity in the Democratic party.
