No. That's not what happened. The republican party is in chaos, and the democrats merely helped them pull the pin from the grenade and launch it at them. To allow them to further decompose.

Basically, facilitating the public show of Republican party shenanigans.

He said in an interview he would not. The optics of it would play right into Gaetz nonsense.

The Freedom caucus is willing to burn DC down to the ground, & hand it all back to the radical Libs, if the rest of the Repubican Congress won't adhere to Conservative principles. It's time to pick a color Chameleons.

Its decision time in DC for all the Republicans who have been talking out of both sides of their mouths. They talk like a Conservative back home to get elected, then vote like RINO's when in DC...no more.

Hey Mitch, we're coming for you next.
THIS. It's time for Republicans to remember that they are Republicans and act like it. McCarthy was one of many that didn't.

Real question-who among the Freedom Caucus has the most potential as a leader?

This is what McCarthy gets for sucking up to MAGA and the obese 80-year old cretin. Maybe NOW most Republicans(who voted for McCarthy) can finally call out the virus known as MAGA. At this rate if nothing drastically changes, I expect the Demwits to pull out a 2008-type victory next year.

A clown show. Y'all think normies are gonna vote for a party that's in chaos?

Exactly. Republican voters are sick of Representatives and Senators that forget that we elected them to actually do something and stand for something. To have some principles and work for the people. If we wanted people trying to destroy the country in Congress, we'd vote for Democrats.

Good riddance to the last RINO...who was held accountable for lying..a rare thing in DC.

Now, the rest of the House know the Freedom Caucus have a spine, & are willing to blow it all up, if spending's not cut, & the border closed.

Sometimes, politicians in DC have to break some glass, & that's what this was.

Now, DC Conservatives need to double down...they need to take out McConnell as Senate Leader next.

No more shades of grey...if you're a Republican in DC, you're for reduced spending, shrinking gov't, & closing the border.

If you are a Democrat, you are for massive overspending, bloated gov't, & open borders.

The lines have been drawn in the sand.

Then, let the voters decide which they prefer. I already know the answer.
They've already blown it up.

The major task before the republicans is demonstrating how they are going to govern without a Speaker in place. No legislation can move until the position is filled. The longer they go without filling the slot, the more chance there is for a really major catastrophe happening that they are unable to address.

More like he knew it was pointless after he went on the talk shows and trashed them for helping him keep the government open. They may have helped him today had he not done that. In the meeting right before the vote Jeffries showed Democrats clips of McCarthy saying that the Democrats tried to stop the bill from passing after the majority of Democrats voted for it and handed him his "win." He could not have done it without them. The evidence of how two-faced he is is what made them unanimously decide not to help him. He's an idiot and he got exactly what he deserved.
