I am glad Democrats aren’t pushing the spending cuts.

This mess has been caused by tax cuts pushed by Trump and Bush, combined with spending on wars.

Republicans set the stage for this then trick the Democrats to force the economic pain on regular people.

Personally I am glad to see the Democrats not caving.

Republicans can win in 2024. Then they can push their social security and Medicare cuts on normal Americans. They screwed it up. They can do the hard work fixing it.

Trumps tax cut did not increase revenue. Economic growth that had been going on years before Trump took office resulted in an increase in tax revenue.

However the tax revenue was lower than it would have been had the tax cut not been passed.

How many times do we need to post links that tax revenues decreased https://www.americanprogress.org/art...s-big-winners/

Any growth now is due to the strength of the economy not any tax cut.

Because everyone should pay less taxes, not more.

Nope.

Not our war, not our backyard.

Not our people.

We weren't attacked.

Our allies weren't attacked.

Our weapons and cash are making sure hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians die a terrible death and millions are permanently relocated outside of Ukraine.

It's a POLICY DISASTER on nearly every measure. We're throwing up to $200 billion to a Totally Corrupt regime, while our cities/people could definitely use a nice infusion of cash. That $200 billion is being used to kill Lots and Lots of Human Beings, while we're running a $1.7 TRILLION deficit this year.

Thanks Joe!

This is the only way to slow the debt. The debt keeps increasing while Biden and democrats want to fund two wars and have open borders.
Social programs are the tinest part of the budget.

You’ll pay more taxes so that CEOs can make their yacht payments courtesy Trump and the republicans. They had complete control of the government when the Grand Giveaway was passed.

***You*** were excluded from the largesse beginning in 2025, when Trump planned to leave office.

Individuals lose the tax cut in 2025.

Taxes aren’t sufficient to pay down the National Debt right now. If you cut them, how will you accomplish that goal?
