Unilever, the parent company of Ben & Jerry's Ice cream, who made a recent announcement regarding it's retreat from the woke agenda.
So if you are wondering why Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream aren't tweeting or overtly becoming involved in events in the Middle East or in relation to Refugees or LGBTQ+ rights etc etc, there is a reason and it relates to the parent company Unilever, learning from it's mistakes and changing direction under a new CEO.

New boss at the behemoth conglomerate faces a challenge in his attempts to effect change
After all that, it turns out that Hellmann’s mayonnaise is just something you dip your chips into, and not, as we were previously told, an eggy way of saving the world.
And that Dove is mainly handy for taking a shower, and that Ben & Jerry’s has nothing useful to say about the tragic conflict unfolding in Israel and the Gaza strip – as tasty as its cookie dough ice cream might be.
This week, Hein Schumacher, the new chief executive of Unilever, finally dropped the soggy wokeness that has characterised the conglomerate for the last decade, promising to return the business to making and selling decent products that are useful around the house.
But it is going to be a long journey back from the wilder shores of corporate wokery – and Schumacher will find it harder than he thinks to knock some sense into the business.
We’ll see what happens. I won’t buy Ben & Jerrys and haven’t bought it for a long time. The brand is such a turn-off and homemade ice cream is easy to make and tastes a lot better.
My partner bought a pint the other week because it was on sale. He offered some of the ice cream to me and I was like “hell no, I don’t eat Communist ice cream.”
I wondered about the entire Ben&Jerry's/Unilever situation and so I did a few minutes of online research. After the damage was already done (ice cream bought and paid for), I might have caved. Cherry Garcia...

I’m curious. Can you explain your use of “Communist” in this context, please?
Hopefully the companies that push their religious views such as Chick Fil A and Hobby Lobby follow suit and stop their corporate indoctrination campaigns.
We didn't need trans beer. There was already Zima. And we definitely don't need woke ice cream. If you want gay ice cream, you always have the option of adding sprinkles.
