I understand that induction stoves don't have those issues, are more controllable than gas, don't heat the kitchen, and don't emit hazardous fumes. I'll keep my gas range top, but I would look at induction if we were buying new.

Simmering isn't hard at all. I was doing that when I was 6 years old and we had an electric cooktop.

the whole point of this thread is the IRONY that she does not allow the bolded above for ANY of us, but expects it for herself. (thats bad) so she should feel REALLY guilty about it. she should feel quite crappy about it. but she does not. and here we are.

You're really going to equate gas stoves with the holocaust? that's a pretty digusting thing to do and you should be ashamed of yourself but i know you're not because right wingers don't feel shame just absolutely disgusting.

where's the irony? no one is banning gas stoves this is another right-wing fever dream that fox news and other trash like them to gin up anger and rage about things are not actually happening.

Well that's what happens when you take analogies literally.

that was not an analogue it is an insult to compare something that isn't even real with the start of the holocaust.

I'm pretty sure most, if not all, chefs prefer gas. After probably a couple of decades of watching cooking shows, I've only seen one who used electric, and her show is based out of her home so maybe they only had electric hookups when they moved in, I don't know.

Andrew Gruel(ha) is a chef here in California. He was one who fought against all the lockdowns. Here he is emphasizing with a little humor his stance regarding gas vs. electric:

He is the only husband she's had. They're referring to him that way because the vice president and spouse are second from the top position in America, the way the president's spouse is the First Lady. It's confusing; the proper term would be Second Gentleman and as a title it should be capitalized.
