The reason for the US seeing cases of eradicated diseases is anti vaxxers traveling to places that aren't as good at vaccination or can't really afford vaccination.

Our President told 350 million Americans if you get the Covid shot, you won't get Covid.
That was patently untrue. Why would expect people to trust the government about Covid anymore?
The president before the current one said covid would magically disappear, probably by spring/summer of 2020, that it was very well contained with only 15 cases in spring 2020, and there'd be a big, beautiful vaccine quickly.

Regarding the measles outbreak, I've not looked into it but it seems pretty obvious that the most likely source is the flood of illegal aliens which has been pouring into our country for the past few years. Blaming "anti vaxxers," especially without first addressing the elephant in the room, is lazy and reeks of political motivation.
Anti-Vaxers are targeting the COVID-19 nonVaxes. CDC had to change the definition for a vaccine to be able to rename the treatments as vaccines. These nonVaxes do not provide immunity. In fact there is little clinical evidence that they ever were effective, since COVID-19 is a novel virus. When fabrications and lies are the basis, one has grounds to be suspicious.
Before the change, the definition for “vaccination” read, “the act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease.” Now, the word “immunity” has been switched to “protection.”
The term “vaccine” also got a makeover. The CDC’s definition changed from “a product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease” to the current “a preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases.”

In short, “new” vaccines do not provide immunity, but may only help alleviate symptoms (like the cytokine storm).
