It is the honest truth though. The black culture of the 50's and into the 60's had assimilated well, with more kids having dads at home, going to school, church, listening to quality music, having normal American names, etc.
Then we start what was called welfare (which is just one of the voluntary reparations we have been paying for over the decades) which discouraged dads from being under the same roof.
How has that improved black culture?
Answer.
It hasn't.

AFC (AFDC) was established in 1935 and was not available to black women until 1960. Do you think only white women were poor single mothers until 1960?
The man in the house was a state rule that was struck down by SCOTUS in 1968.

Public Assistance Benefits Stacking - Foundation for Government Accountability
The Foundation for Government Accountability is a "conservative" group. I don't believe anything in that document.

Many of the references in the document are to other "conservative" organizations that lean towards the free market being the solution for everything. The free market is sometimes good, but for societal issues is sadly lacking.

The government is not paying anyone to breed. The small amount that welfare goes up when you have another child doesn't come close to covering the costs associated with that child.

How does someone on welfare pay for health care if there is no subsidy?

Did you fail to read that public assistance benefits stacking yields more than working a low-wage job? It's the kids that increase the amount of the benefits so yes, the government is paying poor women to breed.

I do not believe that's how it works. And, that document was looking at pandemic benefit levels.

That's right, and maybe those illegal but discrete procedures conducted by licensed physicians would be ok except that the poor girls I knew couldn't pay the bill, so they resorted to paying retired nurses to abort them, or having their boyfriend repeatedly hit or kick them to try to cause a miscarriage. One of my best friends endured a kitchen table abortion, developed sepsis and had most of her reproductive organs removed.

That's exactly how it works. Here's another explanation from way before the pandemic. Stacking public assistance benefits yields more than working.

Welfare: A better deal than work

As it should. I mean if the government is going to pay women to breed, they need to pay them well. Actually they need a raise. If FF workers deserve $20 dollars/hour the women providing future worker bees and voters should be making way more than that.
