The statement about INGSOC is anti-communist! INGSOC is a term used in Orwell's novel 1984; it means "English Socialism". It was an ironic statement! Thank you for your constructive criticism.

It amazes me that some people have still not read this book. Wake up and swallow the red pill peoples!

Free men own guns, slaves don't. I doubt that the Nazis would have ever been able to bully their way into power if more ordinary Germans were armed back then. Just my opinion.

As if owning a gun answers all the problems for the self-defense of a minority group? Some of the American Indian tribes had rifles, and they still lost. The Jews in the Warsaw ghetto had guns, and they were still overrun and wiped out. Read your history. You choose to promote a present-day single-issue political agenda instead of reading history. Get to it!

1 in 10 German Jews had a gun? Hmmm ... let's see, since one-half the population is female and most females won't handle a firearm, then you are postulating that 1 in 5 German Jews (the males) should have owned guns, which would be 20% of the males or more like the equivalent of 40% of the ADULT male German Jews. Please name for this board a society of any significant size in ALL OF HISTORY, where 40% of the adult males owned a firearm. I'd say your ideology about guns has led to you smoking something wacko.

Lawrence Britt's "fourteen points" can be applied to just about any countries that today call themselves democracies. How apt they are depends on the society you live in. ALL 14 points do not apply totally to any of the modern so-called democracies but some of course do. They are generalizations for the most part.

On the other side you have people like Jonah Goldberg who are people on the right who continue to refuse to accept that "fascism" is a right wing ideology. These people misinform everyone who does not take the time they need to study the situation. As I mentioned in an earlier post I live seven years under the "fascist" government of Francisco Franco. If you haven't lived under a system then you really have nothing to say. Book learning is not experience it is mostly theory. Neither Britt nor Goldberg could ever convince anyone who has lived under a fascist government of much of anything at all.

Fascism itself is hard to pin down just as everything else in politics is. IMO as i said , bringing NAZI Germany into the mix does little or no good at all. Maybe a comparison of Italy under Mussolini and Spain under Franco is possible but there are still great difference between the two. I will not try to convince any one of the good and/or the evil of "corporatism" but i will say that IMO the future holds this type of government for a greater part of the world. Even today you can see a definite shift to the right in Europe. "Corporatism" is gaining, out of necessity to some degree perhaps, a stronger hold in France, Norway, Italy and many other nations in the West. I believe that in the next 100 years corporatism will replace democracy and no one will be the wiser nor will they really care. It is just part of social evolution.

Yes, I have read 1984, several times actually. It is probably my favorite book. Newspeak, Oceania, Winston, Prolefeed, Pornsec, doubleplus ungood, "Death to Goldstein", etc.

Every post of yours that I have bumped into has been a one-liner which seems to be posted for the sole purpose of increasing your post count. I could be wrong, but seeing how this is a forum about politics and complex issues, I generally prefer to see a higher standard.

To:Frank Carbonni, Proud Anti-Communist

Greetings from: Lobodog

My posts vary from one liners to half pages. Stylistic choices are used for humor, irony, satire, etc... Thread content can influence the contextual approach. The same old worn-out methods do not interest younger audiences.Pictures and/or verbal images communicate with precision and economy. Every dogma has its day!

Thank You For Your Kind Response

P.S. Post count means nothing to me!

Fascism has become reality. Don't fret, Obama supporters. This groundwork was laid well before Obama was chosen to be our "leader." He's just carrying out his "duties" as President of the USA.

This is true, but there have been fascist states other than Italy. Like communism, fascism comes in different flavors. I disagree that the US falls into that class, but I don't dispute Dr. Britt's study which observed several fascist regimes.

I find today more like Stalins russia which imprisoned and murdered more people than hitler did. The obamas administrtion listing its enemies is much the same.communism;Socialism and fascism is pretty much the same thing really. Both eliminate anyone who speaks against the state. The state takes contol of the means of production and the product of that production. The first thing they do is move against freedom of speech and indivdualism. But as seen in teh 60's the people of the united sates know how to speak out loud and clear anyhime they want. We are seeing a rebirth of that today and the adminsitrtion is again trying to quiten the people;but like then it won't work.

This is rather bizzare. All we need is to add hunter-gatherer, and "fascist" could decribe any economy.
