As long as churches insist on getting involved in politics as lobbyists, heavy donors, endorsing candidates, and doing footwork for politicians, then they should be taxed. If a church wants to respect the constitution by keeping themselves separate from government then I have no problem with them being tax free. But in recent years they've been stepping over that line big time.

why is everyone so concerned with taxing churches/temples/etc???

Do you really think the money that is taxed will be put to any good use? that it would actually solve any real problem?

Some people's door knobs to get into their dirty bathroom seem to be smarter than their ignorant prideful logic.

Huh? This has nothing to do with freedom of speech.

Political activity by religious entities is already restricted by law and IRS regulations. It's just a matter of enforcing existing law.
