what it should read, is that anyone can vote as long as they pay property taxes by owning a home or property. after all, we cant have people voting for a raise.

Voting for a raise? How do you vote for a raise? Unless you mean voting for the candidate that promises to give you the most government assistance ($$).

No need to further try to prop up overpriced houses by requiring property ownership to vote. People who rent pay property taxes as well, as the cost is passed to them from the landlord.
If you are a property owner with limited knowledge on economic or foreign relation matters, you shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a voting booth, no matter how much depreciating real estate you own.
That was no attempt at satire, it was direct insult on Republicans and conservatives. You would have to be brain dead not to see it for what it is.
