Not only was this Hurricane not his fault, it was not his or our fault for those who decided to stay when they knew they had a chance to leave.

Why didn't more people leave? Why were some thinking it was Bush's fault that the hurricane actually happened?

Some blame it on Global Warming. Actually, there were even more intense hurricanes in the 1800's when the earth was cooler.

The liberals think Bush consulted with the religious right and their connection with Jesus to stir up a storm like no other to kill all the black people in New Orleans.

Crime was the problem with Katrina. Add that to bad local government planning and you have a really bad disaster. I heard many people stayed with their homes because they had left before and looting had occured. I think they made the wrong decision. Life should always be more important than money, but our voters just made the same decision of money over life again. Humans will just be humans, I guess.

It was local, state and federal government's fault. Each, in their own way, contributed to that travesty.

Are you trying to tell me that Bush doesn't control the weather? shame on you, don't you know everything is Bush's fault just today my dog got sick, it's got to be Bush's fault ha, ha. I wonder if Obama will get the same treatment.
The hurricane showed the bad side of people that depend on the government to take care of them instead of taking care of themselves. Your right it sure wasn't Bush's fault, it was there own fault.

I am originally from that state and can tell you first hand it's starts at the local level. Unlike Florida, there are no plans for evacuation and what not. The state never took hurricanes seriously, and doesn't inform the public about anything. People in LA couldn't even tell you when hurricane season was. In Florida, there are booklets about hurricanes in general for the public. These are in most grocery and some department stores. Reminders are everywhere like Walmart and Target, they start putting up flyers in June. Florida takes hurricanes seriously and this is even in places like Jacksonville which rarely gets hit.

Only after Katrina has LA got it's act together somewhat. This past hurricane season was proof of that. My family who is still down there mentioned they now have booklets and information. The problem is they give this out right before the hurricane hits, which caused panic and resources drained from stores.

The federal government also made obvious mistakes. Everyone played a part in this.

If Sarah Palin had been in the New Orleans local government, those levys would have been top priority. They would have been in good shape when Katrina hit.

If Sarah could get a "Bridge to Nowhere" for Alaska, she would have made darned sure the citizens of New Orleans had safe levys. You betcha.

Coulda, woulda, shoulda.
