If you found $100.00 in cash?

Would you turn it in?

Would you keep it?

Would you donate it to a cause of your choice?

Im wondering...be honest now.

Would you turn it in?
I would pick it up, leave a post it note saying I found some cash here, call me, tell me how much it is and what it means to you and I will give it back to you . (Just sounds like a fun social experiment)

Would you keep it?
100.00? I would probably keep it if nobody would claim it. If it is was in a dropped wallet or more money I would turn it in.

Would you donate it to a cause of your choice?
Sure.

I suppose it would depend on the circumstances in which it was found. It were just lying on the side walk and no one was around, I would certainly pocket it.

If I were in a bank, I would ask if anyone dropped any money and if no one answered I would leave it with a teller.

If I found it in my bedroom, I would assume it was my wife's and I would pick it up and spend it as quickly as possible.

I'd keep it, unless I saw the person drop it OR I was in a place of business where the customer may return for their money (like a bank).

On Thursday of last week, I went to an ATM and the person had left their ATM card in the machine at the screen that lists your options (withdrawal, deposit, etc). The thought didn't cross my mind to make a withdrawal...instead I cancelled the transaction and took it into the bank.

If it was on a sidewalk or lying in the middle of the street I would keep it.
If it was in a store or a parking lot, I would turn it in to the store/owners of the parking lot.
Basically, if there were any way of giving it back to its rightful owner I would do everything I could to make it happen. If there is no way to find out who the money belonged to......it's mine!

That's my take on it, too.

And if I did take it, what I did with it would depend on what was going on in my life at that time.
