Just because 5% of the population earn higher income and pay a higher taxes, this doesn't entitled them (and them only) to a portion of our tax dollars in the form of tax bailout. There is no justification because all tax brackets contributed to the $700B regardless to the percentage paid.
As a taxpayer, I'm okay with contributing to those in need. Latrica is an isolated case and not the norm. Why blame the children for the mother's mistake. It's sad that some people will overlook a hungry child, but happily provide for a dog. There is more important wasteful spending by the government (Obama said that he will review) that s/b eliminated. If I'm correct in reading the 2008 federal budget, this represents 1.8% of total government spending
