I am sad that so many people have decided that I am everything they want to fear, and fear causes them to hate me just like they say I hate.
I am a Christian, life time Southern Baptist to be exact. I am a small business owner, a Realtor, too. I am a "born again" conservative, that is I once was a flaming red liberal. I am of Swedish/Irish/English/Scot ancestory so I am white, too.
So why do you hate me when you don't know me? Why do you assume that I hate you? Why do you assume that I hate Gays? Why do you assume that I want to control you? Why do you fear Christ and Christianity?
I wish that I could personally meet with anyone who feels hatred towards me for if I could meet them, I am sure their fear would be changed from hatred to at least acceptance, if not understanding.

As someone that is economically as left as you can get (almost) and has nearly libertarian views on personal matters, I do not see why our differences in economics, politics and religion should require me to automatically hate you. I don’t know you. I have never read anything by you that I would object to. Most importantly I do not automatically do anything without thinking about it first.
So let us know what you like or dislike. What are your politics? Where do you stand on economic issues like bank bailouts, taxation, inflation or deflation and similar issues?

As time moves forward, Christians will be hated and persecuted just like Christ was. Ideals of righteous living , in particular, are at odds with the current culture in America which the great majority of the populus follows . Its a denial and defiance of God and his mandated moral laws and anybody who loves and follows The Creator is seen as the opposition and a fly in the ointment . Thats the way it is but fear not....the ultimate payoff will be well worth it one day (and soon).
Honestly? They remind me of my 5 year old kid. When she's made up her mind she'll whine and complain until she gets her way.
Likewise, it doesn't matter that the people voted and decided against gay marriage...they'll just hate us for having the guts to take a stand and say "no" to ANYTHING in their lifestyle. It's all about tolerance until you disagree with them.

We don't fear you or your beliefs, but you do annoy us when you try to push them onto us.
Christians have been bringing the opposition upon themselves for a long time now by their constant pushing to keep/get their religion into politics and government. What you're seeing now is the rest of us saying that we're fed up with it, and we're pushing back. We don't want you and your religious beliefs making our laws and telling us what to do. Government and politics are not the proper place for religion. So stop whining that you're being persecuted. You're not, you're just seeing the fallout from your own misbehavior. We'll get along just fine if you MYOB and let us mind ours.

Are you sure you don't hate yourself? Sounds like you aren't comfortable in your own skin. You may want to get some counseling or join a support group of like-minded people. Everyone has a place in America, all the way from the neonazi that hates everyone to the treehugger that won't kill a roach because it is life. Get in where you fit in; it's a great nation and diversity is a piece of what makes it great! I am far too liberal to hate you.

It is unfortunate that you feel sad, I pray that God will allow you to prevail through this period.
It is our place to be persecuted and it will become a heavier burden as this society attempts to force on you ways and behaviors you know to be in direct contradiction to the word of God. Stay strong in the word, something that always gives me strength is Daniel 3:1-3:30.
They were also vilified for their belief even unto death, but look how that turned out!!
It is NOT your place to hate and using God's word as your compass of behavior and morality IS NOT hate.
Remember in these days you will be told that all things right are wrong and all things wrong are right. Man continues to lean to his own understanding, don't you make that mistake.

You're not being persecuted. The rest of us are merely showing you that we're not going to take your oppression of us anymore without fighting back. Like I said before, ya'll MYOB and so will we. Keep your god out of our laws, stop knocking on my door trying to witness to me, and we'll get along just fine.
