C.S. Poole, a spokeperson for the United States Toilet Industry, met with Treasury officials in this nation's capitol early Monday morning in order to ask for a $673 billion bailout for the US toilet industry which he claims is "going quickly down the drain".
"We're going thru some pretty cr*ppy financial times" said Poole as he wiped an unidentified brown speck of matter from his face.
"We're facing pretty unfair competition from the Chinese and their new 2.5 oz-flush toilets that render our 55 gallons-per-flush models uncompetitive". "This really stinks". "If the US toilet industry goes down the tube we'll be in deep sh*t", he added. "Everyone knows how vital our industry is to the entire economy, how can the auto makers get a bailout and not us?". "Specially considering that Americans only need their cars in order to transport themselves from one bathroom to another!" stated Poole before leaving to return to his headquarters in Orange County, CA an area so identified with the American Toilet Industry that the entire county goes by the self-proclaimed title of "Anus of the World".
