I would be fascinated to learn what these same people would say if the United States was under military attack. I guess we shouldn't do anything either, because whoever would dare to attack us would have to have a perfectly legitimate reason.

You know we are going to go in circles, because all Jews supported legal "terror" and killing and mayhem when it was directed at German occupiers. There is even a movie out right now about it: Defiance.

It's the height of hypocrisy. If you support what Israel is doing today in Gaza, then you support what the Nazis did in retaliation to Jewish partisans.
But feel free to turn that into your usual shallow one-sided condemnation of Israel.

They don't have to...they have artillery, fighter planes, tanks n the might of Uncle Sam behind them.. though during those early days after WW2...they did hide behind women n children as they bombed n murdered the, yet again, palestinian inhabitants n British alike
