The United States Marines are the TOUGHEST people on Earth. Like all people, sure they bleed but when a Marine bleeds, he throws a band aid on the wound and gets up and kicks some ass. A Marine does not let the sight of blood- his own ro somebody elses deter him from his mission.
A Marine can kill with his bare hands...and then eat lunch. He can repair a jeep, sew his uniform, and live off the land. He is "Ready to Go" at all times, and never needs a laxative. He's rough, he's mean, and he's ruthless. He's also helpful to old people, takes the time to tickle babies, and ALWAYS says 'excuse me'....unless he's kicking a door in. He travels in a group.

that was pretty clever.
when i was stationed in san diego, we weren't allowed to go to tijuana during liberty hours. there were a number of reasons for that, and none of them had to do with drug cartel violence.
too many new marines go there just to get wasted drunk, and then either come back with herpes, high on some drug that they don't even remember taking, or with their wallets stolen.
in response to the number of numskulls that didn't learn after their first visit, the usmc simply told us that we couldn't go down there anymore. let me tell you how funny it was when they would catch them sneaking down there anyway–the border police knew to look out for them.

Yes, Kev HAS seemingly given Marines a reputation even THEY may not always be able to live up to. Seems like KevK might have misread the thread and thought it said "Marines Too Dangerous for Mexico"....?
