Not only is the world flooded by cheap chinese crap. They also give the world a nice dose of carcinogenic particles. With no pollution controls on their energy and junk they produce, all that polluted air blows to the USA and around the world.

Other countries have been worried about the West's and especially the US' emission levels for decades and we didn't give a damn about their concerns.

NIMBY (not in my backyard)

Bring manufacturing back to the USA where we have more environmental regulation and we actually can do something effectual about the pollution while simultaneously rescuing our own economy. Instead Progressive policies (NAFTA, WTO, EPA, etc...) have been to drive industry out of the US to countries where they are free to pollute more, not less.

And let's not forget that China also supplies us with a lot of precious metals that we use in everything from electronics to much of the chemistry that runs our daily lives. Purifying precious metals from raw ores is extremely dirty and environmentally damaging.

Maybe the EPa should publish a few more regs for Chinese companies. Wait, one can't rope the wind, can one?

The US is not even in the ballpark compared to China. We can take mercury emissions as an example. Note US emissions under North America are about 3% of global pool:

With green house gas emissions per capita the situation looks quite different.
One always has to consider per capita emissions anyway...

So you're against free trade now? Ever studied any economics? Didn't think so.

I think the young people of China are well aware of the pollution problems and I believe that in the future China will try to find ways to reduction its pollution.
