Former CIA agent John Stockwell - "The Third World War" (Oct., 1987)

"John Stockwell is the highest-ranking CIA official ever to leave the agency and go public. He ran a CIA intelligence gathering post in Vietnam, was the Task-force commander of the CIA's secret war in Angola in 1975 and 1976, and was awarded the Medal of Merit before he resigned. Stockwell's book 'In Search of Enemies' is an international best-seller."

I don't see how you can make that assertion. Do Americans really go out of their way to help visitors who can't speak English more than other Western nations? Was some sort of study done?

Ok, maybe it's been your personal experience, and that's good, but I would need more proof to say that it's the norm.

U.S out of Angola, screamed the headline from the January 1976 libertarian newsletter by the esteemed economist Murray Rothbard. Excellent words of geopolitical advice ignored of course by Nixon, Ford and Carter

I'll dedicate this to the memory of Jonas Savimbi, a brave cold warrior.

Here's one of my favourite Savimbi quotes.
"I am against nationalization; it is a disease which saps the strength of a national economy. The real question is the renegotiation of allowable profits. Foreign companies need their profits, they would not invest without them. But the people of Angola need their share. When Angola is independent the investors must know that the people will have a greater share."

If Obama cut the funding for CIA and Pentagon 'black ops' he would probably save 100 billion a year.
