We get it, you don't like obama. If you like mccain so much, go visit him in the nursing home in a few years and you can tell him how much you wanted him to win.
I wonder if he will run for re-election. I think JM should retire.

The only people who didn't support the so-called bailout were anti-realsists and just plain dumb people. The biggest problem with the bailout was that it should have been done starting in the Summer of 2007 instead of the Fall of 2008.

While it shouldn't be, it is perhaps necessary here to point out that there is a difference betwen authorizing the bailout legislation and implementing it. Congress does the first, the administration does the second. That's how your government works. It was covered in 4th grade civics.

Slightly off-topic, but see any of the dozen or so other threads that demolish the notion that your personal religious beliefs are of sufficient weight or clarity to be of any consideration at all when stacked up against the welfare of the world.

Contrary to what you and <kootr> would wish to believe, Bush is still responsible for all the things that Bush actually did. And he always will be.

Somehow, I imagine you typing away over there while staring up at a classic 1932 poster that blares "Re-Elect HOOVER". But never mind that, the pharmacy will open in just a few hours now...

As for you, really good call, <kootr>. Way strong support for a claim to non-trollness.

Oh, please. False outrage. Senator Obama voted for TARP. President Bush's administration distributed the funds and had the responsibility to make sure the funds were appropriately distributed, according to the established parameters of the law. The law sucked, but it was a bailout pushed for, and pushed quite heavily, by President Bush.

You are one deceptive devil and I mean devil. It was your neighbor Bush who overpaid and now the world can see the extent of your deceptiveness and willingness to do all possible to slander your POTUS.

The #1 most appalling thing I've learned from these boards is how easily led some grown-up adults actually are - how eager they are to actually believe the most ridiculous trash. It is deliberate by Fox et al. They know their base and they play them like a piano and it works, it works, it always works.

I thought for awhile after the election, when Obama didnt turn around on the inauguration dais and sink his teeth into the nearest white baby, that people would begin to realize they'd been used and the fog would begin to lift and they'd lift themselves up to be critical and thoughtful about information presented to them. But no - it's just as bad as before.

Sickening and scary.

Im going to start reporting these untrue headlines and claims - hundreds (?) of people see them and read no further, and spread the lies themselves like poison spores. It's the height of irresponsibility, plus wastes a lot of bandwidth from us explaining and showing the facts.

If you want to get rid of me, Kootr, just start posting things that are true.

The title of this thread needs to be changed. It is completely inaccurate.

It could be "Obama voted FOR a bill that lead to the overpayment of 78 billion to banks" would that make you feel better?
