Progressive income taxes were enabled by the Sixteenth Amendment:

Quote:
The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

Give your money to the government and let them redistribute it to folks that are far less productive than you just to make everything fair?? That just doesn't sound right. What incentive do I have to excel if all my money is just going to go to some unproductive stranger who can just sit back and collect my money??

My job was outsourced to India but I received a refund this year. Ill trade you.

How about a flat tax ?... and as well VAT...We WILL have to move toward some sort of new plan..in order to survive. If its more in the direction of Social services for the masses...so be it. Works for most other Countries. Just look up North. The most stable Financial Country in the world...Canada.

I do not think that people who paid nothing in taxes should get refunds. I am opposed to that BUT I am for the government using the tax system to redistribute some wealth, in the form of programs and services to the poor and the working class. I have no problem with that at all.

What you saw was cover. The real wealth redistribution is going the other way. The supper rich are getting richer at the middle class and lower classes expence.

What I want to see is that the person that is now doing your job gets US minimum wage it will make it more expensive to outsource and really boost the economy of the world.

Take a look at the tax rate history and the total debt history

Cutting the taxes on the rich leads to debt bubbles.

The working class is becoming poor. The tax code is being used to redistribute wealth to the top.
