Probably because I live down the street from where he signed it

OK, maybe not. But I wondered the same thing. I'm guessing it has to do with his trying to connect with the people. The Pesident doesn't seem so much like a non-caring, far-off celebrity when he's driven through my neighborhood recently.

Maybe he and the Secret Service should just take a Greyhound bus? Or hitchhike perhaps?

Well, "Kootr", I guess you consider my college education to be uneducated? And while I'm at it, to be gramatically correct, it would be, "stupid and uneducated people who voted for him..."

How did all of you who are so appalled by Obama's travel feel when Bush was making an idiot of himself at the Olympics this summer while our economy spiraled down the toilet? Were you outraged then? Did you post about it? Wait, I'll go check....

No they can ride on the same train... You do know how a train works don't you? No I guess you don't or you wouldn't have asked such a stupid question.

Yes, dear, I know how a train works. But I thought since you're so keen on the government saving money that you'd be interested in some even cheaper alternatives.

Dear:
You must be a liberal if you think buses following a train is cheaper!

Is that they way your party's new plan will work?

This nation can afford to have him fly around and connect with people. I saw it in Elkhart, IN, people who overwhelmingly supported McCain over Obama but now face the worst unemployment rate in the nation, and people in Ft Meyers, FL where he didn't get much support during the election either but a place that is foreclosure capital of America.

And that may be a bad thing but only to those suffering with sour grapeitis.
I can't speak for Elkhart........... but the only people who "benefited" from his trip to Ft Myers were a homeless woman who is suspected of milking the system by turning down local help offered earlier, and a guy that works at McDonald's and loves attention a little bit too much....

He does not need to be jetting from town to town and telling Congress you fix all the problems while I go around increasing my own popularity..... we all know Congress is incompetent, and Obama is simply forcing them to come up with solutions, which they cannot do effectively, while he goes around boosting his own popularity....

I'll admit that you've lost me, Sweetpea. I thought we were discussing economic means of transportation since you Republicans seem to be reveling in your newfound sense of thriftiness. But in any case, I think the bailout plan has a much better chance of working than your party's never-ending game of swap.

I was appalled by Bush. BUT, Obama was suppose to be different from Bush. Obama was suppose to bring change. Comparing Obama to a failed president only makes Obama look worse.
