Ah, I had fond memories of Barbie, Ken, and GI Joe. All of them got blown up by firecrackers at one time or another. We grew up during the Vietnam War years, you know.
Actually, I'm not very covetous of material goods...still nearly poor, and I never developed anorexia. So I guess I survived Barbie.
Iran has banned Barbie according to Fox news.
Maybe this lawmaker should move there. He would feel more comfortable knowing he lives somewhere where there are no Barbie threats and his wanted ban has already been implemented.
Or maybe he is just mad because Barbie has all her teeth.
As if banning Barbie would solve little girls problems with self-esteem...sigh...
I guess it'd be nice if all problems of the world were so lacking in complexity.
The Barbie Ban Bill, proposed by Democratic Delegate Jeff Eldridge (D) Lincoln County, says such toys influence girls to place too much importance on physical beauty, at the expense of their intellectual and emotional development.

Sorry then, it is a stupid bill and hope it gets shot down. Barbie has been a round for 50 years and all of a sudden some lawmaker thinks it has too much influence over children, get real and I am a screaming liberal...
Riiiiightt.... Nope, this is another gender-sensitive, cork in keister Democrat.
The same type that bans tag on the playground because it's dangerous or discourages activities that reinforce (time-honored) gender steretypes. Probably spent a bit too much time inhaling the fumes around a university.
