That just leaves the old Bush 30% in opposition, those are the numb skulls who supported Bush right up until the end. Those people are just completely out of touch with reality and the wishes of the vast majority of the American people.

If anyone other then the die hard Republican hacks are unhappy then Obama wouldn't be getting a 70% approval rating just like the Democrats in Congress wouldn't be getting a 60% approval rating. Your attempts to claim that the "American people" don't approve of Obama's course of action smells like the bull schit it is. Your claims don't pass the laugh test.

BTW I notice this is your second thread on this topic in 24 hours. I guess it is because you got so completely pwnd in your first one that you ran away from it and then started a second one on this identical subject. Don't you have any integrity? Why not try to defend your wild claims in the other thread rather then running away when you lose only to start a new thread about the same BS claim? I think we have your modus operandi pegged, Republicrat.
Guess it depends on which poll are you looking at while ignoring the ones that have been the most accurate. Those have him at 60-61%

Not sure where you are getting that democrats in congress have a 60% approval rating either. Actually republicans in congress approval rating is that much below the democrats in congress

Obamas Disapproval rating his higher then Bushs in his 1st mth in office.

And you'll probably get a majority vote for a McDonalds Happy Meal over a liver/spinach quiche but that won't mean it's better for you.

I'm a liberal and I don't understand some other things.

I don't understand how conservatives claim to be part of a Christian nation but lack forgiveness, compassion and the desire to help people.

I don't understand why it matters whether its government or charity through which the help comes. As long as we can make America a better nation, why aren't we doing it.

I don't understand how giving people tax cuts, so they'll spend it on foreign made products (food, oil, electronics, cars, etc.) is more productive than paying people to fix dilapidated, neglected roads and bridges that should have been maintained during the Reagan, Clinton and Bush administrations.

I don't understand why America can't be a diverse, self sustaining economy so if the rest of the world decides they don't want to work with us because we've stepped on too many toes, we can sustain ourselves.

I don't understand how Trillions in tax cuts are OK to help a minor recession in 2001 and 2003, but a few hundred billion in spending to get Americans to work to make our country better isn't allowed.

I don't understand how deregulation has made us better off. Corporate honesty hasn't kept us from getting salmonella from peanut butter or our kids from getting lead toys.

I don't understand the benefits of speculation based on market value. It only creates a bubble that will burst.

I don't understand why we can't leave some parts of the world alone. Leave nature be so our children and their children can see a few of the great things God gave us.

1) The United States of America WAS never about Socialism or anything close to it. What makes America so GREAT is the fact that we are not like Germany or Sweden!

2) Big government is totally incompatible with the United States. We were never created to be a nanny/welfare state.

3) Punishing success with higher taxes or penalties is totally contrary to what this country is about.

4) Universal health care-where some people pay for the care of others is another concept which is totally foreign and unamerican, such ideas have
absolutely nothing to do with what this country was founded on.

I think if more Liberals understood the history of this country, they would be just as outraged. Obama is basically undoing everything that has made this country great for the last 200 years.

Wow, this is a great thread. You nailed it. I have lived most of my live in Europe and was so happy to move here where the markets are free and the health care isn't socialized since we have experienced that not much good is coming from it. Doctors are making the same amount if the see a patient 1 time or ten times a year and aren't much interested. We have experienced how bad it was when a family member came for a visit here and she became very ill and went to the ER in the USA. Within 24 hours we were told what was wrong with her and basically there wasn't much good about her health and we knew the doctors were telling us the truth. She had to over stay her tourist visa since she couldn't go back because of her illness and ended up in a hospice over here. The place was taking very good care of her and it was a great experience for us. She actually did much better and the Dutch health ins. decided it was time to transport her back to Europe and instead of what having 3 seats for her so she could lay down they put her in one seat (after being in a hospice for 10 days and never been out of bed). The trip was horrible and only because they gave her certain madeication she didn't realize how bad it was, but the doctor had to change close a couple of times...
She went to a local hospital in Europe and because of MRSA she was in a seperate room which is rear in Europe. The started to feed her all kind of grease to gain wait since she was only 90 pounds and 5 foot 8.
The hospital didn't want to see the US hospital reports and medical papers which we all had given to them. She died 2 weeks later after we were called 2 days before that they would release her to her home where she lived by her self. They said she was capable of living on her own in a single family home...
The hospital bills were going to be too high and the nursing home had a waiting list.....when she died we were asked for an autopsy and we agreed. All that was discovered in the US hospital was a 100% right and they claimed they weren't aware of what she had...(2 weeks in the hospital without doing anything!!!) and in the US report clearly was that she wasn't allowed to eat grease since her pancreatic was very inflamed and her blood pressure was 225/150 when she came in the ER in the USA...the autopsy showed she died of an enlarged heart, pacreatitis, and the small brains weren't working anymore....

Isn't it great that in Europe you can't so easily sue a doctor or hospital..

Socialized health care is really what we are waiting for over here....

Then I guess we better close down all the public schools and universities, shut down all the libraries, fire and police departments, turn off the stop lights, end Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security, stop fixing and building roads, shut down the EPA, stop testing our food products, shut off water service and let people dig their own wells...

Germany (I've lived there) and Sweeden are quite nice countries, if you've even been there. I remember growing up having the "American is the only free country on earth" mantra pounded into my head. Then when I lived in Germany, one day it dawned on me - Europeans are free to.

Libertarians have some good ideas, but they're just a few inches past the "nut job" line.

I missed where the OP said all of this. Can you point me to where it is? There is government and there is Big Government. Liberals can't tell the difference.
