I love Pat Buchanan. He's a real American hero, and someone who's knowledge of American history is virtually unmatched.
He's written 8 books, and they all ended up on the NY Times bestseller list.
For some reason, anti-white bigots dislike him, and usually resort to ad hominem attacks and rants against him, since they can rarely refute his facts and meticulously-footnoted truths.
When Buchanan tells the truth, it makes the "anti" hateful types in the USA hysterically out themselves.
I actually could tolerate Buchanan before reading that garbage.
"It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known".
WTF!!!Forcing people to abandon their families, act as your servants for 100s of years is ok because you FORCED your religion upon them before denying them education and the ability to work, giving in only after a 40 year movement and the assasination of every black leader of that era.
I hope that article was a hoax. If not, Buchanan needs to stick to republican talking points and stay out of the race debate.

I'm all for two way conversations but the conversation needs to begin with an acknowledgment of certain historical facts, as opposed to revisionist flights of fantasy, for example; Buchanon writes:
"First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known."
There seems to be a misconception on Mr. Buchanon's part on two separate fronts. One African Americans paid with their lives to ensure not only their freedom but the freedom of the this country as well having fought and died in the Revolutionary War from Bunker Hill to Yorktown despite being denied the right of freedom or citizenship in the nation they fought to create. And, African Americans, despite institutional racism would continue to fight and die for this nations freedom in every subsequent war fought by the country. The second point that Mr. Buchanon needs to recognize is that freedom and prosperity was not gladly given. It wasn't through altruism but through the forceful demands of African Americans, who by the way helped to build that prosperity in the cotton fields of the south and the industrial plants across the nation.
Once those facts are recognized then we might begin to have a basis for a two way conversation.

As always, you are on point, Ovcatto......I sent out that blunderbuss blast earlier because I knew that Buchanan and his supporters hadn't put any historical context (or basic fact) behind their blustery contentions................

How would you like the "facts" recognized? Somehow I think $$$$ are involved and I will be a part of the paying faction.
