As I work my way up the tax brackets, I pay more because I have more, and I suffer less than many struggling middle class people.

The conservatives who post always talk about the welfare class, and completely ignore the hard working middle class americans struggling to pay the mortgage, and the rest of life's basic expenses.

"The U.S. remains the largest E&M market, growing at a 5.6 percent compound annual growth rate reaching $726 billion in 2010," said James O'Shaughnessy, U.S. Leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers Entertainment & Media practice. "Video games and the Internet will be the fastest-growing segments, with compound annual increases of 8.9 and 8.4 percent, respectively. Video games will be propelled by next generation console games and rapid growth in online and wireless games, while increased broadband penetration will enhance Internet access spending and stimulate online advertising."

And

The vast majority of mortgages in America are paid on time, 90% or thereabouts.

Further, if you feel good about paying more then you should take the advice of other posters and send a donation to the IRS. Just don't ask me to be as generous. I donate my time and money the way I see fit. I don't appreciate for a second the attitude that I'm somehow responsible for someone else's decisions.
I never said you said anything, so I don't know what you are referring to. I made a comment about what see conservatives posting, but that wasn't directed at you, it was a general statement.

I pay what I'm required to and I don't whine about it, or pretend that I'm suffering when I'm not. I understand that taxes are a part of being a citizen of a civilized country. I understand that as I have more in life I will pay more, I'm a part of a society. The people who are paying less than me support my business, and other people's businesses, if they have no money while I hoard it all, the businesses fail. People don't seem to understand that we are one country of intertwined people, we are not individual islands.

Forget it, people like him will never be reached, too many people from all sides feel "owed". I feel the only way this arugment is gonna stop is when "the system" comes crashing down.

The hate people feel today, is sad.

Media Matters - O'Reilly's tax falsehoods: 50 percent "don't pay any federal income tax," estate tax "unconstitutional"

That seems to be another distorted talking point.

You don't mind collecting the benefits of other pople's decisions, though...it's just the paying for them part that you don't like.

Nevertheless, their position on the 50% claim is correct and well documented through to original sources.

That's an honorable attitude, and again, you are free to donate every dime to the treasury that you don't need. In fact, everyone with your attitude would do a great service to the nation if you'd just pony up the trillions and leave the rest of us out it who had no part it creating the problem.
