While I like people to fight this terrible disease with every bit of medical technology available, I do not like the media lying to us and telling the public the celebrity's prospects are good. Anyone with stage 4 cancer is likely to die within a year, so their prospects are not good, they are terrible!
Should the media be completely honest to us about the celebrities cancer and their terrible odds? Is it fair they we are being lied to by spin doctors every time a celebrity is deathly ill?

My question is why does the American public care about it in the first place? Answer: Too many Americans live their own lives vicariously through the celebrities. Unless the person is a friend or loved one of mine, then their health is the least of my concerns. My mother as liver cancer, like Tony Snow. She is my priority, not him. Unfortunately, the chemo treatments did not work and it is a matter weeks to a few months.
The American public should be more worried about themselves, friends and family as opposed to worrying about the celebrities. Do I feel bad for the Snow's, Edwards', etc. Sure. Do I worry about the news in regards to their health. No.
