Nope. There are only 2 reasons how Obama got elected. White liberal guilt, and the "sympathy vote" because Obama's grandma convieniently died THE NIGHT BEFORE THE ELECTION.
Because nobody actually agreed with what he said, right?

I would have to say that there was an anti-Bush element, too. People were tired of Bush and many bought the "more of the same" mantra that the Dems hammered on so consistently throughout the entire campaign season.
The amusing thing is that they (the Dems) believe that they're going to gain even more power in Congress next year - they're completely delusional and out of touch with what anyone outside their own circle of friends is thinking.
I say we oust the whole lot of them. Don't vote for ANY (D) or (R) next year. Congress is doing a HORRIBLE job - we need to let them know that THEY work for US, and when we think they're not doing their job well, we will FIRE THEM...

white liberal guilt? what is that? if you talking about th past, umm democrats in the south was conservative so try again
I enjoy watching Lou Dobbs more, but it's good to see O is #1 and beating the heck out of the babbling morons like Kweef olbermann and his twin sister Rachel combined.
FOX is the #1 news outlet, MSNBC is second and CNN, third.
That is surprising to me.
I think MSNBC got tired of fighting CNN for the neutral market. MSNBC took a left turn and weaned off a lot of the CNN audience. Now we have Fox on the right, MSNBC on th left, and CNN pretending to be in the center.

Yeah, cause those massive leads in the polls for the weeks leading up to the election meant nothing. "White guilt?" Seriously, it's a pathetic argument. He got elected because the Media only gave coverage to Edwards, Clinton and Obama during the primaries (ignoring Kucinich, Gravel, Dodd, Richardson and Biden) and people already knew Edwards was a sleazy shyster of a Personal Injury lawyer (who makes poverty their #1 issue while concurrently building the largest home in his home county?) and a lot of people already had a negative opinion of Clinton before the election.
Once Obama was nominated, it was a guarantee that he would win. No republican would win in the political climate at the time. Bush ran the country into the ground and people wanted change. Electing another Republican would not give the people that sense of "change". Plus, picking Palin as his running mate was McCain's ultimate blunder, she alienated a lot of potential voters with her ignorance and wildly right-wing views.

I guess that's why I find myself turning to news from the BBC, more often than not.
people like controversy: controversy sells why cant you get that thru your head, i watch CNN and its boring with a little comedy, shows like o racist are watched because hes radical, fiery,
I'm not a big fan of the guy, but can you provide some examples of racism on his part? To me he's a guy that talks a lot but says nothing. More and more he rides the middle trying to be accepted by both sides.
