More and more people are discovering that the network news is only good for weather, traffic and the "on your side" reporter and not much else.

They seem to be missing the boat on most stories that actually inform Americans about issues that make a difference.

Maybe it's because they are so focused on the star factor of the "news" reader, should they sit on the desk or behind it, and the look of their classy studio than to actually report on real news.

Although I dislike most of the phony republicans like Hannity and O'Reilly, the increased ratings are likely a result of situations like Fox being on the cutting edge with the ACRON pimp 'n ho story while Gibson was clueless all along.

no. people watch tv to be entertained.

fox is entertaining. the other networks arnt.

i watch oreilly every night, his show is brilliant, and yea i voted for obama. i dont watch oreilly to tell me how to think, i watch oreilly because he has a good, entertaining show.

thats where people go wong running ith these numbers. they assume people switch over because they believe what fox says. may be partially true, but entertainment factor is the main reason.

Absolutely, I agree. I had low expectations of MSNBC and ABC, but thought that CNN, at least, would do honest reporting on that story. I hate that the mainstream media is becoming increasingly polarized and biased. I've considered it good practice to watch Fox News when there's a Democratic administration, and CNN when there's a Republican administration, but CNN is quickly losing credibility.

You do realized that the nightly news on ABC, NBC, and CBS kills all of these rating? The last time I heard Brian William was averaging 9 million viewers a night. The networks are still getting higher rating than any cable news show.
