Taxpayer tea parties have rattled some politicians in Washington, as thousands have gathered in cities across America to object to President Obama’s spending policies. But no politician was rattled as severely as the staff of Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH) was yesterday.

After opening an envelope containing a teabag and marked “Tea Protest” in the Congresswoman’s Manchester office, Shea-Porter’s staff called Capitol Police and city police and firefighters.

Kind of a moot point. Heard on the Radio this morning that Ed Schultz finished a phone conversation with Speaker Pelosi that a 3.6 trilllion dollar package has been passed.

Mine voted nay also but I will remind them that I don't want to see them change, either. I am also sending one to our good President Saint Barack. I want them to keep wondering how many of us there really are. No head count will be taken but we do need to keep them wondering when it will stop.

In this day and age, one must ensure that when one engages in tea bagging, it should be done safely, though dunno why the police had to be dragged in to participate.

There is nothing to fear. The tea party people are those who aren't used to organizing and protesting because they're too busy being responsible, going to work, paying their taxes, etc. They are not the average knit cap, hemp wearing knucklehead who protest for the sake of being against something because it's so cool. Certainly you won't see the sort of insanity there was in London. The tea parties are not about anarchy or such tripe as "abolish money." And they are not about or agains any one political party. They ARE about patriotism and getting Govt off its a$$ and get it listening to the voices of We The People. Mainly, stop spending our money.
