There is almost no opposition to this policy among the GOP. Ron Paul and Libertarians to their credit stood up to Bush.

There is a sizable minority of Dems who do vote for civil liberties and oppose Government abuses like this...whether it be Obama or Bush.

That's the difference....the GOP is rotton to the core...the Dems have a minority willing to vote for American principles.

Well you threw your vote away...I'd take bad over bat sht crazy any day.

I'll say it one more time...the way the US system of Democracy is structured there will NEVER be room for a third Party....you must reform one of the two parties in place....You are just spinning your wheels if you think you can get anywhere with a third party....It's 100% a waste of time.

In fact, to be most effective you should vote your issue priorities during primary elections and 100% Party line votes during general elections. Get the bad apples out during the primaries....That is the only way to do it.
