Democrat Al Franken may not yet be a senator, but that did not stop him from naming his first Senate staffer Monday—a Minnesota state director “to ensure that we hit the ground running on Day One” when he officially takes office, Franken said.
Franken, of course, is still embroiled in a disputed election with Republican Norm Coleman for a U.S. Senate seat from Minnesota. The Democrat last week moved a big step closer to victory, however, when a panel of three state judges declared that he leads Coleman by 312 votes and should be certified the winner.
Coleman, the incumbent senator, has made it clear he will appeal to the Minnesota Supreme Court, and if he loses there, possibly to the federal courts as well. But many analysts say the state Supreme Court is likely to dispense with Coleman’s challenge relatively quickly, and that it could be politically difficult for Coleman to appeal to the federal courts.
Al Franken jokes about raping women and he gets elected. That speaks volumes of the liberal value system.
But even the liberal bastian Planned Parenthood objected:
"Planned Parenthood understands that Minnesotans evaluate our political candidates based on their record, values and character," McCollum said. "It is appalling that anyone could characterize rape, a violent and horrible crime, as a joke."

Liberals always seem to out-do themselves.
For 8 years, conservatives drove this country into the ground with a non-existent domestic policy and imbecile diplomacy. Stands to reason that any perspective of a conservative is about as relevant as Whoppi Goldberg's ashy feet.

you are confused. I think you mean republicans, not conservatives.

Back to the OP......I am glad that Sen elect Franken is preparing to get started immediately; he was elected over 6 months ago and his election has been upheld and quantatatively expanded everytime it has been reviewed. He is the Senator Elect and he should be choosing his staff and preparing to get started as soon as the Governor certifies the election.....or if that is beyond expectation....as soon as the Senate votes to accept him as the Jr. Senator from Minnesota. It is inevitable...there is no more drama.
The people of Minnesota elected him as their Senator. It's called a democray or 'rule of the majority'.
