So waht we want is two partiees that think alike to actaully just put people in office. I presonally think that two parites that have different views is a good thing. Just as they thought that the demcratic party was dead :i suspect that the repubolican party is far from dead.In fact one party have a mojority has always lead to a chnge again as they satrt to take things too far. This nation is still very much devided between views as has been seen in more tahn one election.

Good riddance to bad rubbish!! Spincter has been in the Senate for how long? He has been part of the Republican party leadership in the Senate. He has been part of the problem with the Republican party, he has been voting like a democrat, so whats changed he just did the republicans a favor. When you have a illness sometimes you have to vomit to purge you're system, the Republican party will be better off in the long run!

No I'm not saying they should have the same views, I'm saying the Republicans should listen to it's base and not the talking heads. Do you think Rush and Coulter, who spew nothing but hatred, will get people to say yea thats what I'm about? I don't. I think they turn people off to voting for the GOP because it gives the image that if I vote GOP IM like them.

The wake up call should be the wrong decision on every choice @ hand, we just don't get to bask in the wrongness on $10 trillion immediately, till then they left us a fake vilification of interrogation tactics and an incompetent DHS force and AF1 crew that seems to be lost in it's desired direction from the white house, stay tuned. It's okay another 9/11 wouldn't scare anyone, a perfect example of incompetency.

Bush III/ IV/ Vl.... and the defense is acrimonious, lol.

Interesting. You and I both disagree with our respective political parties on some key issues, yet we stick with them. I probably still agree with Democrats on most issues, but the bigger draw for me is a comfort level with them that I don't feel with the Republicans. Is it the same case for you?

Yeah, but keep vomiting and eventually you'll die.

That's not a personal attack in any way. I'm just saying that you can only exclude so many people from your party before you start to become irrelevant.

Reading this thread makes me wish we had a three party system, some one in the middle of the GOP and Democrats.

I agree with the Republicans on more than I agree with the Democrats on. That said, I have never voted straight ticket and likely never will. In 2010/2012, I might, but only because having one party in control of everything terrifies me. I don't trust either the Republican or the Democratic party at this point.

I don't think it's anything about comfort...just about choosing what is, to me, the lesser of two evils.
