Obama Budget Bans Federal Funding For Needle Exchange, Breaking Campaign Pledge

When Obama took over the White House, the administration website affirmed: "The President also supports lifting the federal ban on needle exchange, which could dramatically reduce rates of infection among drug users."

Yet Obama's budget includes language that bans spending federal money on needle-exchange programs.

I have junky friends. They just share their free needles (when they are all high on junk, they do not think about clean needles).

I agree with Obama on this one. But I also feel this article illustrates Obama's philandering, needles are cheap - he just told them what they wanted to hear.

Let me understand this Catch 22. Your theory about drugged people not caring if the needle is clean or not makes sense. Now, lets stop the clean needle program... doesn't matter, we, the tax paying citizens will get to either bury the dead or pay for the medical treatments. Once again the uncle's incest is real.
