It is not the Governments, (read the TAXPAYERS) job to take care of me and my family.
It is MY responsibility.
Personal responsibility. Ever hear of the term? Do you know what it means?
My responsibility is to pay my taxes and take care of myself and my family . If I pay my taxes and my taxes pay my healthcare am I not being personally responsible.
Do you pay for fire department or are you your own fire department. Do you pay for your police department. Do you home school are do you send your kids to public school. If you send your kids to public school then I guess you are not personally responsible according to your logic.

To answer your questions, there is no fire department that services my home and yes, my children were home schooled.
Regardless of this, it still does not mean I have to be responsible for your health insurance / health care.
And the real world is, I will not be.
Health insurance will remain optional.
We will not have a single payer system. Each person, who decides to purchase insurance, will be responsible to decide which plan, and will be responsible to pay their own premiums.

I hope you are wrong.
I am not asking you to pay for my health care. I am able to provide for myself. I am very lucky. Both of my parents are doctors and I make a very good living for myself and I don't need you. However, I am smart enough to understand that the more people you have participating the lower the cost for everyone. In actuality, it is very likely that you would be paying less for health care (including taxes) than you are paying now. I am not really advocating this to help you out, but I would like to pay less, but I am willing to pay my fair share.

Paying into a single payer health insurance program is simply where I am paying for your health care. This is a fact.
And you cannot provide any data that would prove what you try to portray that I would pay less
Also, with a single payer, government run program, I and everyone else would lose our freedom of choice - again, this is an indisputable fact.

I have posted a link below as to how much per capita (per person) that it costs in the U.S. We are the most expensive. Built into our costs are the cost of paying insurance profits, lawyer litigation, overbilling by the hospitals. Common sense would dictate if you removed these expenses then the cost would come down, which would mean that you would have to pay less.
A single payer system means that everyone is paying for everyone.
You don't have a fire department where you live???? You don't have a police department??
With a single payer system you would have to pay for the program out of your taxes. We live in a capitalist society if there was a desire to have additional coverage I am sure that someone would be willing to sell it to you.
You never answered the question I posed to you however - I've answered all of your questions.
The question is, do you know what it really takes to run a successful business? Do you know what it takes to run a successful Medical Practice?
YES.
You talk about Physicans income yet, I don't believe you know what happens with that income.
I believe I do. It is paying for my home.
